The iconic walk, which drew thousands of enthusiastic Amadavadis, aimed to promote wellness while campaigning for support for NGOs working toward meaningful social causes

The 24th Annual TTEC Wellness Walk was held on Sunday at the L. D. College of Engineering ground, drawing 4124 enthusiastic registered participants. A sum of Rs. 1.023 Crores collected through the walk was contributed to three non-governmental organizations (NGOs) dedicated to societal welfare.
The iconic walk, which drew thousands of enthusiastic Amadavadis, aimed to promote wellness while campaigning for support for NGOs working toward meaningful social causes. The event featured a 4km walk and a 7.5km run, flagged off at 6:45 am by Dr. Nilay Bhuptani (Principal L.D. College of Engineering), Ms. Mittal Patel (Social & environmental activist & Founder – Vicharta Samudaya Samarthan Manch) and Dr. Neeraj Suri (Founder Tara Foundation)
The three NGOs that benefitted from the funds raised this year are:
- Manav Parivar Trust, Nonghanvadar (Est. 2013): Supports abandoned individuals with intellectual disabilities by providing safe housing, medical care, and long-term rehabilitation.
- Shree Danev Foundation (Est. 2017): Dedicated to the welfare of stray birds and animals in Ahmedabad through rescue and veterinary treatment.
- Shwas Charitable Trust (Est. 2008): Empowers children from underserved communities through academic support and life-skills training.
This year saw a significant increase in female participation as the event coincided with International Women’s Day, marking 115 years of global advocacy for gender equality.
What began as a community activity in 2003 has evolved into a powerful movement. Over 24 editions, the initiative has benefited 80 NGOs by raising over 13.44 Crores. A total of 108,502 walkers have participated over the years, supported by 290 donors.
In 2026, 30 companies supported the walk. A total of 1.023 Crores was raised through individual registrations and sponsorships. TTEC contributed 4124 as registration matching and donation. Notably, all sponsorship cheques were written directly to the beneficiary NGOs to ensure transparency.
“What started as a simple idea to walk for a cause has grown into a remarkable movement of community giving. This year’s Wellness Walk was especially meaningful as we marked it as a women-led event on International Women’s Day, bringing together over 4,000 participants in support of important social causes. Over the past 24 years, this collective effort has now raised more than ₹13.44 crores for 80 NGOs and inspired over 108,502 walkers to come together for health, compassion, and positive change,” said Biju Pillai, Vice-President (Operations), TTEC-India.
