Firstsource earns ‘A’ in CDP Supplier Engagement Assessment

Firstsource Solutions Limited an RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group company, has earned an ‘A’ rating in CDP’s Supplier Engagement Assessment (SEA), and ‘B’ rating in CDP Climate Disclosure and Water Security Disclosure for FY25, marking further and notable progress in its environmental performance and supplier engagement.

The ‘A’ rating in the Supplier Engagement Assessment places Firstsource among leading organizations globally that are actively engaging suppliers on climate-related priorities, including governance, emissions targets, Scope 3 disclosures, and value chain collaboration.

Dr. Sanjiv Goenka, Chairman of RPSG Group and Firstsource, shared, “Sustainability, at its core, is a question of institutional character. The recognition we have received from CDP — across supplier engagement, climate, and water security — tells me that Firstsource is building the right kind of company: one where accountability runs through the business, not around it. What I find particularly meaningful is that these ratings assess not just what we do, but how we govern, how we engage our supply chain, and how we steward the natural resources our business depends on. That is the full picture of responsible enterprise. Our commitment to Net Zero 2050 is not a target we are managing towards; it reflects the values we are choosing to operate by, today. And it is that choice — made consistently, across every level of the organization — that I believe defines Firstsource’s standing as a long-term, responsible business.”

The company’s FY25 results build on its FY24 performance, when it received a ‘B’ rating in CDP Climate Disclosure and an ‘A’ rating in Supplier Engagement Assessment. In FY25, Firstsource maintained these ratings, while adding Water Security to its CDP disclosure for the first time, with a ‘B’ rating.

Firstsource has committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, with targets aligned to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and currently undergoing validation. Over 26% of its total power consumption now comes from renewable sources, reflecting increased adoption of clean energy.

Firstsource provides full disclosure of its Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions, with greenhouse gas data externally assured. Across its value chain, around 85% of supplier spend is assessed on ESG criteria, and the company is targeting 50% conversion of its fleet to electric vehicles by 2027.

Together, these results signal a maturing sustainability approach, with increasing emphasis on execution, transparency, and value chain impact as Firstsource advances towards its Net Zero 2050 commitment.
