On the 16th Day of Indefinite Hunger Strike at Jantar Mantar, Comrade Deepak had to be urgently admitted to the RML Hospital amidst severe deterioration of health conditions.

This comes after days of terrible health conditions of Comrade Deepak, a 15% weightloss and falling blood pressure levels to severe low (80/40 mmhg today) since the past 3 days, risking damages to Organs. The medical team seriously suggested hospitalisation in these conditions. On the 16th day of indefinite hunger strike and the 23rd Day of indefinite Sit-in at Jantar Mantar, former Delhi CM Atishi came on a solidarity visit and met the students on hunger strike.

She extended her support and solidarity for the cause and expressed concern regarding the worrying state of democracy where students have been on a hunger strike for weeks without any positive response from the ruling government.
Despite the deteriorating health of Neha, Manish Aameen and Deepak who are on 16th day of the indefinite hunger strike, the protest and hunger strike shall continue at the site.Students after students are risking their lives and getting hospitalized yet Dharmendra Pradhan or the government has not shown a single positive response. Despite comrade Deepak’s hospitalisation the other three comrades, Neha, Manish and Aameen have decided to continue the fight till the end.
