Hunger strike,Jantar Mantar, Dipankar Bhattacharya solidarity with Sonam Wanghuk and students!

As the day broke for June 2nd, the indefinite hunger strike at Jantar Mantar entered its fifth day, raising serious health concerns for the protesting students.

Most of the AISA activists on the strike are at a serious threat of loss of consciousness as blood sugar levels plummet. The RBS levels on June 2 stand as follows: Hrishikesh – 68 mg/dl,Neha – 68 mg/dl,Manish – 63 mg/dl,Danish – 50 mg/dl,Aameen – 63 mg/dl,Deepak – 59 mg/dl. However, despite a rainsoaked stall and gravitating health, the protesters continue to persevere the apathy of Narendra Modi’s government.

The late evening ended with solidarity as CPIML General Secretary Comrade Dipankar Bhattacharya visited the site and extended solidarity to Sonam Wanghuk and others on hunger strike. “It is time for communists, Gandhians, socialists, liberals and all who stand for a democratic India to stand together tall against the bulldozer of RSS-BJP razing our constitution.” Not an inch back until Pradhan’s resignation!, AISA
