IGL and Ecowings successfully conducted a joint initiative and equipment handover program to clean up Saket

Under the Swachh Bharat Mission, Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) successfully provided cleanliness equipment to Ecowings as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. The equipment was formally handed over to the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and various Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs) in the Saket area on 8 April 2026.

The initiative marked a significant step towards enhancing cleanliness and sustainability in Saket, contributing to its transformation into a cleaner and more aesthetically pleasing locality.

The equipment provided by IGL included Hopper tipper: 01Garbage rickshaw: 25 Wheelbarrow: 75 E-rickshaw: 03. These modern tools are expected to streamline waste management operations while promoting environmental protection and sustainable practices in the community. Eco wings expressed sincere gratitude to Indraprastha Gas Limited for its trust and continued support in driving impactful environmental initiatives.

The programme was graced by Shri Sanjeev Khairwar, IAS, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation of Delhi, who attended as the Chief Guest. Shri Amit Dixit, CSR Head, Indraprastha Gas Limited, was present as the Special Guest. Other distinguished attendees included Shri Arun Kumar Mishra, IAS, Additional Commissioner, MCD; Shri Rakesh Kumar, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, South Zone; Shri Kshitiz Sharma, Assistant Commissioner, South Zone; Shri Amandeep Singh; and Shri PR Rajesh.


Speaking on the occasion, Ecowings Chairperson Sangeeta Tayal said, “This initiative by IGL and Ecowings has marked a milestone in transforming Saket into a model colony under the Swachh Bharat Mission. The cooperation of local RWAs and the MCD played a crucial role in the success of this project. Indraprastha Gas Limited has demonstrated its strong commitment towards environmental responsibility through this initiative.”
