KONE Elevators Inks Pact with The Ma Foi Foundation to Train and Upskill Talent in the Vertical Transportation Sector

The flagship initiative launched at the BSVT Training Centre, Bengaluru aims to equip 150 Indian youth with hands on, industry relevant vertical transportation skills aligned with current safety and technical standards

In a significant step towards building a skilled, industry-ready workforce for India’s vertical transportation sector, KONE, a global leader in the elevator and escalator industry, has entered into a strategic partnership with The Ma Foi Foundation to jointly implement a structured skill development programme. Launched as part of KONE’s CSR commitment, the flagship initiative will train and upskill 150 youth in lift installation and industry-aligned vertical transportation skills, preparing them for careers in the elevator and mobility sector.

With BSVT onboarded as the expert training partner, the programme will be conducted at its state-of-the-art training facility in Bengaluru through a structured residential model. Designed to address the growing demand for skilled professionals in India’s elevator and mobility sector, the programme will deliver one month of intensive, industry-aligned training for each batch, covering lift installation, safety compliance, and vertical transportation technologies. Beyond technical instruction, the initiative places strong emphasis on employability, offering participants exposure to workplace readiness, professional conduct, and placement opportunities with reputed organizations.

Through expert-led training and real-world exposure, the programme aims to build a pool of industry-ready talent, strengthen the sector’s workforce ecosystem, and create sustainable, long-term career pathways for youth across India.
