Building Brand India Abroad: How Eleganz Interiors Limited Earned a Global Automaker’s Trust with Its Landmark Singapore R&D Campus

As Singapore commits a record S$37 billion to research and innovation and global automakers pour billions into reinventing mobility, an Indian workspace major has delivered the environment where that future will be engineered

Eleganz Interiors Limited, one of India’s most established workspace design and build organisations, has announced the successful delivery of a landmark R&D and Innovation Campus in Singapore for a leading Korean automotive group. The facility has been envisioned as an environment purpose built for research, engineering and innovation, with the future of mobility at its core. The delivery lands at a telling moment for both the city and the sector. Singapore is doubling down on its position as one of the world’s foremost innovation economies, and as per the Prime Minister’s Office of Singapore, the country will invest S$37 billion in research and development over the next five years under its Research, Innovation and Enterprise 2030 plan, building on the S$28 billion committed under RIE2025. The automotive industry, meanwhile, is in the middle of its biggest reinvention in a century, with global research and development spending on automobiles and transport reaching 146 billion euros in 2023, as per the European Commission’s Industrial R&D Investment Scoreboard. The new campus sits precisely at the intersection of these two currents, a physical home for the research that will decide how the world moves next.

Sammeer Pakvasa, Managing Director and CEO, Eleganz Interiors Limited, said, “Singapore has been a true test of whether an operating model built in India can travel intact to one of the world’s most sophisticated markets. An Indian brand does not walk into a global market with borrowed trust. Credibility abroad has to be earned project by project, on the strength of consistent delivery. This campus is that proof. To be entrusted with an environment where the future of mobility will be imagined and engineered is a responsibility we take great pride in, and it strengthens our conviction as we enter our fourth decade.”

The delivery reinforces Eleganz Interiors Limited’s international footprint, with Singapore among its seven key offices alongside Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, NCR and Pune. Founded in 1988, the company has delivered more than 1,000 projects and over 30 million square feet of built space across 35 plus cities, serving leading Indian and global organisations across corporate, BFSI, healthcare, hospitality and commercial sectors.
