RIDING WITH PURPOSE: ROYAL ENFIELD PLEDGES OVER ₹3 CRORE TO SNOWLEOPARD CONSERVATION

Coinciding with International Snow Leopard Day, Royal Enfield has announced a commitment of over ₹3 crore towards the snow leopard conservation.

This funding honours the pledge made during One Ride 2026, Royal Enfield’s annual marquee event, which dedicated this year’s ride to protecting the Himalayas – Royal Enfield’s spiritual home and the vitalhabitat of this elusive species. Riding under the banner of “Every Rider. Every Road. One Mission.,” the initiative mobilized a record-breaking 156,085 riders across 67 countries on September 20, uniting the global motorcycling community from Mumbai to Madrid and São Paulo to Sydney. Driven by the Royal Enfield Social Mission, this funding will be deployed directly on the ground to support scientific research, population assessments, community stewardship, and human-wildlife conflict mitigation.

The commitment builds on Royal Enfield’s existing conservation frameworks and will be brought to life through three core initiatives:
On-Ground Habitat Protection: Working in partnership with the Nature Conservation Foundation (NCF), Ashoka Trust for Research in Ecology and the Environment (ATREE), Snow Leopard Conservancy India Trust (SLC-IT), and the Centre for Pastoralism, the initiative strengthens conservation programmes covering more than 10,500 sq. km of snow leopard habitat across Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, and Jammu & Kashmir.
The Ladakh Nature Centre: To bring the natural heritage of the Himalayas closer to both locals and visitors, the Royal Enfield Social Mission is launching the Ladakh Nature Centre in Saspotsey. Developed alongside SLC-IT and the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, this first-of-its-kind, art-based interpretation centre offers a new, immersive way to discover the region’s unique biodiversity.
Global Policy Alignment: In December 2026, Royal Enfield will support a Snow Leopard Conservation Conclave at the Journeying Across the Himalayas event. Partnering with the Global Snow Leopard and Ecosystem Protection Program and the NCF, the conclave will bring together conservation experts and policymakers to align India’s strategies with international standards and strengthen cross-border cooperation.

As Royal Enfield celebrates its 125th anniversary year, this multi-tiered conservation pledge reinforces the brand’s ethos. For the company and its global riding community, the freedom to explore the world’s most pristine landscapes comes with a non-negotiable obligation to tread thoughtfully, to listen to the communities who know the mountains best, and to ensure that the Himalayas’ wild inhabitants continue to thrive for generations to come.
