AISA JMI joins the protest and stands in solidarity with the J&K Girls Hostel Residents protesting against the poor quality of food provided by J&K Girls’ Hostel Dining system.
It has come into notice of students that flies, bugs and other insects are found inside the food provided by the dining. We firmly stand in solidarity with students against this malpractice in dining service. Jamia Millia Islamia Administration had resorted to giving contracts to the same Vendor from 2023 who provided cheap food material in order to extract more profit from the contract. Since 2023, Students have been protesting for cancellation of contracts from the Vendor but still the Jamia administration resorted to giving contracts to the same vendors.
When some resident students complained against this, they were harassed and targeted by Warden who instead of solving student’s problems, resorted to shaming residents of J&K Girls’ Hostel.
