AISA Joins Citizens’ uprising Against Delhi’s Toxic air!

AISA, alongside students and citizens’ groups from across Delhi, mobilised today at Jantar Mantar against the city’s collapsing air quality and the Delhi government’s abject failure to address the spiralling pollution crisis.

For weeks, Delhi has been suffocating under a man made gas chamber produced by years of neglect, unregulated industrial and vehicular emissions, and a profit first development model that has pushed people’s health to the margins! Speaking at the protest, AISA’s National General Secretary, Prasenjeet said,
“Delhi’s toxic air is the cost of a system that protects polluters and punishes the people. Students will not accept a future where clean air becomes a luxury. We demand accountability, structural action and an end to policies that trade public health for private profit.”

AISA resolves to carry forward the fight to reclaim the city’s right to breathe. We stand in firm solidarity with this people’s movement for a pollution free, equitable, and livable Delhi!
