AISA Files a Complaint with the DGP of UP on Threats to Neha

The All India Students’ Association (AISA) unequivocally condemns the series of threatening, abusive, and life-endangering messages and voice notes sent to our All India President, Neha, during the ongoing GenZ Rising campaign in Uttar Pradesh. These messages, sent to an official AISA contact number, include explicit threats to Neha’s life, with one voice note stating in unambiguous terms that “her death is certain.” Such threats are not only a direct attack on Neha’s personal safety but also an attempt to intimidate and silence a young leader engaged in democratic, grassroots student mobilization. AISA views this as a serious criminal act and a dangerous attempt to suppress political dissent through fear and violence.

We have formally written to the Director General of Police, Uttar Pradesh, demanding, Immediate registration of an FIR, Identification and tracing of the individual(s) behind the threats, Preservation and forensic examination of all call records, messages, and voice notes, Prompt legal action under applicable laws, Concrete measures to ensure Neha’s ongoing safety and security during her campaign. We hold the Uttar Pradesh Police and administration responsible for ensuring the safety of all AISA leaders and activists traveling across the state. Any failure to act swiftly will be seen as complicity in the intimidation of student leaders.

AISA will not be cowed by threats of violence. Our commitment to standing with the youth of this country- through the GenZ Rising campaign and beyond – remains unshaken. We call upon all democratic-minded citizens, student organizations, and civil society to speak out against this culture of threat and intimidation targeting young activists. We demand justice, accountability, and immediate protective action from the concerned authorities. AISA
