Arvind Kejriwal, Dimple Yadav, Dharmendra Yadav, Rakesh Tikait join in solidarity on 19th day of hunger strike amidst sever health concerns!

On the 19th day of the indefinite hunger strike led by Sonam Wanghuk and AISA leaders Neha, Manish and Aameen, support from all corners of the country poured in as economists Jean Dreze and Ritika Khera along with PUCL Convenor Kavita Srivastava, senior lawyer Shahrukh Alam and several senior teachers including Professor Apoorvanand, Atul Sood etc.

The strike also saw major political leaders pouring in solidarity like Arvind Kejriwal, Dimple Yadav, Dharmendra Yadav, A. Raja, ‘Tiger’ Jairam Mahto and Prakash Ambedkar who visited the students and Sonam Wanghuk exrpessing their support and conviction for the March to Parliament on 20th July. Major farmer leader, President of Bhartiya Kisan Union, Rakesh Tikait also visited the protest demanding resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan.

On the other hand, the health of the students has reached severe stages. Aameen is at risk of a hypovolemic shock due to dehydration, Neha’s RBS levels hover around a dangerous 49 mg/dl and Manish has lost more than 10% of body mass. However, students are determined to remain in solidarity with Sonam Wanghuk until the government faces its crimes. Upwards and onwards to 20th July, Pradhan must GO,AISA
