realme, the most popular smartphone brand among youth, announced a landmark CSR partnership with Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) – C3iHub, to launch the realme CyberSuraksha Initiative in Uttar Pradesh. Implemented over a two‑year period, the programme aims to deliver a large-scale cybersecurity awareness and skilling initiative for 5,000 citizens – including students and government professionals, while further strengthening C3iHub’s role as a Centre of Excellence for cyber awareness and capacity building.
Through this collaboration, realme seeks to promote safer digital behavior, enhance cyber readiness among public sector professionals, and empower young people to navigate the digital ecosystem securely. The initiative aligns with realme India’s CSR priorities of digital literacy, responsible technology use, and youth empowerment, while supporting national efforts to advance a safer and more resilient Digital India.

The realme CyberSuraksha Initiative will enhance and leverage the existing infrastructure and institutional capabilities of C3iHub, IIT Kanpur, enabling it to operate as a dedicated Centre of Excellence (CoE) for cyber awareness and capacity building. Building on this strengthened foundation, the initiative will deliver a structured 32‑hour cybersecurity awareness and skilling program through a blended learning model. The curriculum will address critical areas such as cybercrime prevention, online financial frauds, social media vulnerabilities, identity theft, women and child online safety, ransomware threats, and essential cyber hygiene practices. Each participant will undergo baseline and end‑line assessments to measure progress, and successful learners will receive co‑branded, blockchain‑enabled digital certificates.
The initiative underscores realme’s commitment to promoting responsible digital behavior while amplifying C3iHub’s national leadership in cybersecurity innovation. Through this collaboration, realme and C3iHub, IIT Kanpur aim to empower citizens with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly contributing to a more secure digital ecosystem for all.
