As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, India Yamaha Motor (IYM) Pvt. Ltd. has extended its support to public healthcare by donating essential medical equipment to the Government Hospital, Uthiramerur, in Kanchipuram District.
This contribution reflects IYM’s continued commitment to strengthening access to quality healthcare at government hospitals. The hospital is a taluk‑level public healthcare facility functioning under the Directorate of Medical and Rural Health Services, Government of Tamil Nadu, and plays a vital role in delivering medical treatment, emergency services, and diagnostic care to the local community. Responding to its identified requirements, IYM donated critical medical equipment including an ELISA Reader with Washer, Oxygen Concentrator, CTG (Cardiotocography) Machine, Defibrillator with External Pacemaker, ECG Machine, Medical Fogger Machine, Suction Machine, OT Lights, Stretchers, and Wheelchairs, among others. These resources are expected to significantly enhance the hospital’s patient care capabilities and overall treatment efficiency.
On 21st May 2026, all the medical equipment were formally handed over to the hospital authorities. in the presence of Mr. Atsushi Nagashima, Corporate Director, Yamaha Motor India and hospital authorities and other Govt. officials. The Government Hospital, Uthiramerur serves residents of the town and more than 40 surrounding villages, including daily wage workers, farmers, women, children, and elderly citizens. On average, the hospital caters to several hundred outpatients every week, in addition to maternal and emergency cases. The donated equipment will directly strengthen the hospital’s ability to provide accurate diagnosis, improved maternal and fetal care, and faster emergency response, benefiting thousands of people in the region annually.
