Coordination Meeting between Department of Industries and Industry Associations on Industrial Development and Investor-Related Issues

Regular coordination meetings to be held every 30–45 days between the Department, industry bodies and other stakeholders: Industry Minister

A coordination meeting was held between the Department of Industries and leading industry associations to discuss industrial development, strengthen the investment climate, and deliberate on issues concerning the industry sector. The meeting was chaired by Hon’ble Minister for Industries, Ms. Shreyasi Singh. Secretary-cum-Managing Director, BIADA and IDA, Shri. Kundan Kumar, fecilitated the meeting, while Director of Industries, Shri. Mukul Kumar Gupta, delivered the welcome address.

Representatives from Bihar Industries Association (BIA), Bihar Chamber of Commerce and Industries (BCCI), and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) participated in the meeting. Detailed discussions were held on industrial development, investment promotion, addressing challenges faced by industries, strengthening infrastructure, policy reforms, and improving ease of services for investors.

Industry representatives shared suggestions and feedback related to industrial development and investment promotion. Deliberations were also held on appropriate action on the suggestions received. The meeting was significant in further strengthening the industry-friendly ecosystem in the state.

On the occasion, Hon’ble Minister for Industries, Ms. Shreyasi Singh, said that the Government of Bihar is committed to developing a competitive and investor-friendly industrial ecosystem. She stated that regular coordination meetings between the Department of Industries and industry associations would be held every 30 to 45 days to ensure continuous dialogue and coordination. She added that this initiative would facilitate timely resolution of industry-related issues, effective implementation of policy reforms, and provide new momentum to the state’s industrial growth.

Secretary-cum-Managing Director, BIADA and IDA, Shri. Kundan Kumar, said that the Department of Industries is continuously working to provide transparent, timely, and seamless services to investors. He added that regular engagement with industry associations would promote investments and further strengthen employment generation and industrial development in the state.

Director, Directorate of Handloom and Sericulture, Dr. Vidyanand Singh, senior officials of BIADA and IDA, and other officers of the Department of Industries were also present at the meeting.
