Today, AISA had given a call at the NTA Office at Okhla, wanting to raise the issue of the disastrous scam which has come to light on the CUET-PG exams.
Exams were conducted after the end of the official datesheet with no notification released. There is no clarification on normalisation on the exams of subjects that were already conducted even as confusion arises on the repetition of question papers of particular subjects. At least 11 papers had been conducted in a “second shift” on three dates, with no information or record whatsoever on the official website of the NTA. This scam has far-reaching implications for students across the country and yet the NTA evades accountability, hiding behind police barricades.
As soon as the delegation reached the NTA office, the Delhi Police had already barricaded the gate and did not even allow a single student to pass. When asked to allow a two-person delegation the police refused citing law and order issues. Why is the Delhi Police so desperate to protect the NTA which is neither a government agency nor has any memorandum signed with the Ministry of Education?
The students of this country deserve transparency and security of our futures. When common students are denied entry to seek answers and redressal then what is the mechanism in place to secure our futures? We shall not allow unaccountable and corrupt bodies to continue this trend of impunity.
