Narayan Seva Sansthan’s Free Camp in Delhi, over 153 Divyangjans Attend

Narayan Seva Sansthan organised a free Divyang surgical screening and selection camp, along with a measurement camp for 3D-printed Narayan Modular Artificial Limbs developed using Japanese and German technology, and a Bhamashah felicitation ceremony on Sunday at the Sansthan’s Seva Centre in Fatehpuri, Katra Bariyan, Delhi.

More than 153 Divyangjans attended the camp. Following examination by specialist doctors and the Prosthetics & Orthotics (P&O) team, measurements were taken for artificial limbs and calipers for 105 beneficiaries, while 26 Divyangjans were selected for free surgical treatment. Narayan Seva Sansthan President Prashant Agarwal said the organisation’s endeavour is not limited to providing artificial limbs or calipers to Divyangjans, but also to restore their confidence, dignity and self-reliance. “A physical disability should never become a barrier to their dreams,” he said. With this commitment, the Sansthan is reaching out to needy Divyangjans across the country through its camps.

He added that the beneficiaries selected and measured during the Delhi camp will be provided calipers and artificial limbs within the next month, enabling them to move forward with confidence, become self-reliant and participate in mainstream society with dignity. Agarwal said the beneficiaries will receive lightweight, durable and high-quality 3D-printed Narayan Modular Artificial Limbs, manufactured using Japanese and German technology, free of cost. Food, tea and refreshments were also arranged for Divyangjans and their families at the camp. Around 40 members of the Sansthan’s team provided their services. Hari Prasad Laddha was the Camp Coordinator.

Delhi Ashram In-charge Jatan Singh Bhati briefed the gathering about the Sansthan’s various free service initiatives. He said the organisation runs several welfare projects, including free Divyang surgeries, artificial limb distribution, daily food services for needy people, the free Narayan Children Academy for children from economically weaker families, self-employment training and mass marriage ceremonies.

Over Four Decades of Service Narayan Seva Sansthan has been working in the field of social service since 1985. The organisation’s founder, Padma Shri Kailash ‘Manav’, has been honoured with the Padma Shri for his contribution to social service. Sansthan President Prashant Agarwal received the President’s Award in 2023 for his outstanding contribution to the empowerment of Divyangjans.

According to the Sansthan, more than 40,403 Divyangjans across India and abroad have so far received free artificial limbs, while more than 4.54 lakh people have benefited from free medical services.
